Security Installation Manager

About the role

Allied Universal Technology Services, a global security technology company, is hiring an Installation Manager in Chicago. The manager oversees the execution and performance of the field installation staff so that branch goals are met, working within company policies and procedures. The pay range is $110,000 to $150,000 per year.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise project management, system installation and commissioning staff for installed work.
• Provide technical support, leadership and accountability for installation projects in assigned areas.
• Plan, organize and control all installation and engineering activities.
• Oversee training, retention and development of installation staff, and set goals and performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Manage salary recommendations for direct reports and coordinate with other departments across sales, installation and service.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies and customer requirements, and handle escalated field issues and site visits for quality control.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; current driver's license if driving a company or personal vehicle for business.
• At least two years of direct management experience overseeing installation or operations teams.
• At least one year of experience driving operational and financial metrics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain state-specific licensing (e.g., Class D, Alarm Installer).
• Willingness to travel to job sites, including overnight travel.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, Word).
• Preferred: college degree in business administration or management, construction, engineering or project management experience, PMP, Six Sigma, Agile or Waterfall certification, security integration industry experience, and factory certifications on platforms such as Software House, Lenel, Brivo, Open Options, Exacq, American Dynamics, Milestone and OnSSI.
