About the role
Taquan Air is seeking seasonal full‑time seaplane pilots to operate from May through September 2024. Pilots will fly DeHavilland Beavers and Turbine Otters on straight floats, delivering freight, mail and passengers across Ketchikan and Prince of Wales Island.
Key responsibilities
- Transport freight and mail to multiple destinations near Ketchikan.
- Conduct sightseeing tours over Misty Fjords National Monument.
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
Required profile
- Physically fit with the ability to handle cargo loading duties.
- Strong teamwork and customer‑service orientation with a safety‑first mindset.
- Commercial Pilot Certificate with Airplane Single‑engine Sea Rating and at least 1,000 total flight hours.
- Minimum 200 hours of float time and 100 hours cross‑country (including 25 night cross‑country hours).
