Seasonal Event Security

About the role

Allied Universal Event Services is hiring Event Security for seasonal work in Nashville, Tennessee. The role checks bags, enforces access control and applies policies and procedures to keep guests and venue owners safe, while delivering excellent customer service. It is part-time, with flexible evening and weekend shifts, and pays $17 per hour starting.

Key responsibilities

• Help prepare for and run events, from day before to the day of.
• Control entry: collect and scan tickets, verify wristbands and badges, and direct traffic in and out of the venue.
• Screen guests at entry by searching bags, using a hand wand or metal detector and verifying ID.
• Watch for security breaches at key checkpoints and protect guests, staff and venue assets.
• Respond quickly to crowd-control issues and escort unruly guests when ejection is warranted.
• Know the policies and regulations of each venue and give guests helpful directions and suggestions.

Required profile

• Active Tennessee Guard Card, or willingness to obtain one; training is provided for candidates who advance.
• Age 18 or older, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and pre-employment drug/alcohol test; additional screening if driving a company vehicle.
• Able to work overtime as needed and to use good independent judgment.
