School Site Assistant – Part‑Time (4.5 hrs/day)

About the role

The Manteca Unified School District is seeking a reliable School Site Assistant to support daily operations at Sequoia School. This part‑time position works 4.5 hours per day on various shifts, providing essential supervision and assistance to school‑age children.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise students during assigned shifts, ensuring a safe and orderly environment.
• Assist teachers and staff with classroom setup, material distribution, and student transitions.
• Monitor student activities and report any concerns to school administrators.
• Maintain attendance records and support basic administrative tasks as needed.
• Adhere to district policies on health, safety, and student welfare.

Required profile

• Knowledge of or experience working with school‑age children.
• High school diploma or equivalent (accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education).
• Experience supervising students in a school setting is desirable.
• Ability to obtain pre‑employment TB clearance and fingerprinting at personal cost.
