School Nurse

About the role

The School Nurse at All Saints Episcopal School provides direct health services to students, promotes wellness, and ensures compliance with Texas health regulations. The role also responds to on‑campus health emergencies affecting staff, while maintaining accurate health records and supporting physician‑directed care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first aid, medication administration, and emergency response for students.
• Respond to health‑related emergencies for staff on campus and coordinate follow‑up or EMS activation.
• Monitor and manage acute and chronic health conditions among students.
• Serve as the primary health resource for students, parents, and faculty.
• Maintain accurate student health records in the SNAP electronic system.
• Manage immunization compliance according to Texas law and school policy.
• Develop and update Individualized Health Plans for students with special health needs.
• Prepare and distribute health cards, IHP summaries, medication instructions, and field‑trip health packets.
• Provide training to faculty and staff on student‑specific health needs such as EpiPen use and diabetes management.
• Collaborate with the Health & Safety Coordinator on the Emergency Operations Plan and communicate health information to parents and staff.
