School Bus Driver

About the role

Lake Country Transportation is seeking a dedicated School Bus Driver to safely transport students in the Minneapolis area. The role emphasizes safety, communication, and embodying the company values of integrity, respect, and grace.

Key responsibilities

• Safely drive a bus along designated routes, picking up and dropping off students at scheduled stops.
• Perform pre‑trip inspections and follow safety standards, including the Smith System.
• Arrive at the base on time (typically 5:00–7:00 a.m. and 1:00–3:00 p.m.) and maintain logs of mileage, fuel, and student counts.
• Communicate effectively with parents, scholars, teachers, and colleagues.
• Keep the interior and exterior of the bus clean and presentable.
• Attend safety meetings and solve problems using the core values.

Required profile

• Flexible, organized, and comfortable with technology.
• Enthusiastic about serving others and able to handle various communication situations.

Required skills

• Valid CDL or CLP with school bus and passenger endorsements.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Pass background check, clearinghouse, and have a compliant motor vehicle record.
