Sanitation Aide (Full Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Sanitation Aide to maintain cleanliness and safety across assigned areas of the UHealth Tower. The role supports daily operations by handling waste, cleaning surfaces, and ensuring equipment is in good condition.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash, replace container bags.
• Stock supplies in designated areas.
• Clean tile floors, restrooms, and equipment using approved chemicals.
• Dust, wipe surfaces and vacuum carpeted areas.
• Respond promptly to service requests, spills, or incidents.
• Maintain sanitation equipment in proper working order.
• Follow university policies and safeguard assets.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of relevant sanitation or cleaning experience.
• Commitment to the university’s core values.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Capability to understand and follow instructions.
