Sales Representative – Wine & Spirits

About the role

We are a leading wine and spirits company seeking a motivated Sales Representative to grow and manage account relationships in the Hartford County area. The role involves direct customer interaction, product promotion, and achieving sales targets for supplier brands.

Key responsibilities

• Visit CDI accounts on a daily route, establishing an efficient routing pattern across Hartford County.
• Identify sales opportunities by surveying each account and ensuring compliance with national account standards.
• Deliver professional sales presentations, introducing new products, managing bar placements, and promoting drink and wine lists.
• Maintain product inventory levels, restocking shelves where legally permissible.
• Provide brand education through staff training seminars.
• Process credits, returns, and manage receivables, communicating with accounts on aged balances.
• Handle customer issues, deliver products in extenuating circumstances, and refer matters to management as needed.
• Achieve sales and merchandising objectives for CDI accounts.
• Monitor inventory, alert management to stock fluctuations, and support new account openings.

Required profile

• Current associate eligible to apply via the internal Career Portal.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for customer visits.
• Passion for customer service and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced sales environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present brand information effectively.
