Sales Executive III – Merchant

About the role

Global Payments is seeking a Sales Executive III to join its Merchant Sales team. In this position you will drive growth by helping businesses unlock new opportunities through innovative payment solutions, influencing decisions at the owner and C‑suite level, and delivering measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Build and grow a high‑value sales pipeline that expands market share and consistently meets quota.
• Influence business owners and executive leaders by identifying growth opportunities and delivering payment solutions that improve cash flow and operational efficiency.
• Create long‑term client value through trusted relationships that drive acquisition, retention, and business growth.
• Leverage market insights, referral networks, and prospect engagement strategies to uncover new opportunities in target markets.
• Partner across internal teams to strengthen client outcomes and contribute to overall sales organization success.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of consultative sales experience with a proven record of identifying client needs and delivering measurable results.
• Demonstrated success building relationships with business owners, executives, and key decision‑makers.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to uncover challenges, align solutions to client goals, and drive value‑focused conversations.
• Proven ability to manage and grow a sales pipeline while being accountable for performance and revenue outcomes.
• Proactive, growth‑oriented mindset with resilience, curiosity and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time to meet customers/clients.

Required skills

What we offer

• Annual base salary range: $95,000 – $105,000.
