Mid-Market Account Executive, Commerce

About the role

Cash App and Afterpay are seeking a Mid‑Market Account Executive to drive revenue for our commerce payments products across North America. You will work with high‑growth and established merchants, helping them acquire customers, increase conversion, and grow profitably.

Key responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of mid‑market merchant opportunities from prospecting through contract signing and hand‑off.
• Develop detailed account plans that map merchant priorities, decision‑makers, potential blockers, and revenue potential.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline through outbound outreach, market research, referrals and partner introductions.
• Qualify and prioritize opportunities based on fit, revenue size, product alignment and implementation feasibility.
• Lead discovery sessions with business and technical stakeholders to understand payment flows, customer needs and integration requirements.
• Collaborate internally with product, engineering, marketing, finance, legal, risk, sales strategy and operations to craft tailored solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Mid‑Market or Enterprise sales professional, preferably in commerce, payments or fintech.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles independently.
• Strong consultative selling skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding quota.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
