Safety Hazmat Technician – Emergency Response

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Safety Hazmat Technician to join its Burlington Township service center. Reporting to the Director of Safety, you will support emergency response, hazardous material clean‑up, and site remediation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to emergency incidents involving hazardous and non‑hazardous materials.
• Perform equipment decontamination and proper waste containerization.
• Audit incoming and outgoing hazardous shipments for regulatory compliance.
• Maintain daily job notes and communicate issues promptly to management.
• Lead safety documentation and uphold company safety procedures.
• Participate in live training events and coach co‑workers on safe practices.

Required profile

• 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 75 lb.
• Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work under high pressure in a fast‑paced team environment.
