Rural Healthcare Consultant

About the role

Deloitte's Strategy & Transactions team advises clients on strategy, growth and transformation, covering valuation modeling, cost optimization, restructuring, M&A and more. The Rural Healthcare Consultant supports Rural Health Transformation engagement teams by developing project materials and turning healthcare information into clear, client-ready deliverables. The role is open in 12 US locations.

Key responsibilities

• Research healthcare and rural health policy topics and summarize findings for internal teams and clients
• Develop and format presentations, briefing documents and status updates
• Translate technical or clinical healthcare information into plain-language content
• Support storytelling and narrative development with senior consultants
• Proofread and quality-check materials for accuracy, consistency and formatting
• Maintain organized documentation and version control across workstreams
• Support ad hoc research and data-gathering requests from the engagement team

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Public Policy or a related field
• 2+ years of professional experience in healthcare, public sector or consulting
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
• Preferred: foundational knowledge of healthcare, hospital or Medicaid programs, exposure to rural health or Medicaid, and coursework or internship in health policy or health administration

Required skills

• Preferred: strong research, synthesis and writing skills
• Preferred: proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Preferred: experience creating presentations and client-facing documents, and familiarity with document design and formatting
• Preferred: attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

The stated wage range is $78,700 to $155,100, depending on experience and other factors. Candidates may also be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program.
