About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking an experienced Router Supervisor for its Abilene, TX Service Center. This full‑time position oversees dock and dispatch operations, ensuring efficient and safe freight handling.
Key responsibilities
- Manage dock and dispatch operations, coordinating driver and freight handler scheduling.
- Ensure safety compliance and adherence to quality freight handling procedures.
- Timely dispatch of LTL loads.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager.
Required profile
- Proven basic leadership experience with ability to lead in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and logistical skills with solid problem‑solving abilities.
- Knowledge of quality freight handling preferred.
- Computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office products.
- Familiarity with Abilene and surrounding areas.
- Prior LTL leadership experience strongly preferred.
What we offer
- Salary range $68,000 – $74,000 yearly, based on experience.
- Earn one week of vacation after 90 days of employment.
