About the role
CF Industries is seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to support the Donaldsonville manufacturing complex, which includes ammonia, urea, and nitric acid plants. The engineer will provide mechanical and condition‑monitoring expertise to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient continuous operations of all rotating equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee critical equipment condition monitoring using vibration, oil analysis, temperature, ultrasonic surveys, and process data (System 1, PI, Emerson).
- Develop and maintain a quality‑control/quality‑assurance program and a criticality matrix for rotating equipment.
- Conduct technical investigations and audits of equipment failures, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Review and advise millwright work execution to improve safety and quality.
- Maintain the System 1 data acquisition system and manage preventive‑maintenance programs for critical machinery.
- Support lubrication and seal analysis activities and ensure compliance with high safety and craft‑quality standards.
Required profile
- Mechanical engineering background with experience in rotating equipment in a process‑industry environment.
- Proven ability to analyze and resolve equipment reliability issues.
- Strong understanding of safety, QA/QC, and criticality‑based maintenance concepts.
- Effective communication skills to work with plant personnel and millwright teams.
