Room Attendant – Housekeeper

About the role

The Room Attendant ensures guest rooms are clean, well‑maintained and meet the hotel’s standards. This entry‑level position offers a clear growth path within housekeeping.

Key responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms according to standards, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing furniture.
• Change bed linens, replace towels and amenities, and process lost‑and‑found items.
• Notify management of any repairs needed in rooms.
• Perform lobby and house‑person duties when short‑staffed or during peak periods.
• Maintain safety by wearing protective equipment and following MSDS and OSHA guidelines.

Required profile

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English.

Required skills

• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lb, and use cleaning chemicals safely.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and procedures.
