Rooftop Server (Seasonal)

About the role

Arlo Hotels is seeking a Seasonal Rooftop Server to join its rooftop venue in New York City from April 6th to September 15th. You will deliver high‑quality food and beverage service while acting as the primary liaison between the front‑of‑house team and the kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests courteously, make eye contact, and use guest names whenever possible.
• Take food and beverage orders, provide recommendations, and accurately input orders into the POS system.
• Serve beverages promptly from the service bar, open wine and champagne bottles using proper techniques, and deliver items to the right of the guest.
• Anticipate guest needs, respond quickly, and resolve any complaints proactively.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of service areas, including bread stocking and linen storage.
• Clear tables efficiently, document orders on a backup dupe pad, and report accidents or incidents immediately.
• Adhere to hotel health, safety, and personal hygiene standards and communicate openly with managers and other departments.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Attention to personal hygiene and grooming.
• Willingness to follow opening duties, health‑safety guidelines, and incident‑reporting procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a POS (Point‑of‑Sale) system.
