Roadway Design Project Manager (PE) – Atlanta

About the role

DRMP is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to lead transformative roadway design projects across Georgia. Based in Atlanta, you will guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality transportation solutions that improve safety, mobility, and community connectivity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and execution of roadway improvement projects for state, county, and municipal clients.
• Manage project phases from advanced planning through final design and construction support.
• Develop construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and detailed engineering calculations.
• Collaborate with clients, subconsultants, and internal teams to meet schedule and budget goals.
• Mentor and supervise design staff, fostering technical growth and alignment.
• Conduct engineering investigations, feasibility analyses, and evaluate alternative design solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 10–15+ years of roadway design experience, preferably with GDOT projects.
• Strong knowledge of AASHTO and State DOT design standards.
• Proven management skills in budgeting, scheduling, client interaction, and staff leadership.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
