About the role

Join Ochsner Health as a Registered Nurse in the Surgical ICU, working night shifts on Jeff Highway. You will provide high‑quality patient care, lead a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the unit’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care in the ICU.
Assess learning needs of patients and families, and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
Delegate, direct, and manage nursing team resources, acting as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
Use data and evidence to evaluate and promote changes for optimal outcomes.

Required profile

Registered Nurse diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
No prior experience required.
Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred certification in a clinical specialty area.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
