RN Supervisor – Night Shift (Full Time)

About the role

The RN Supervisor provides direct patient care and oversees nursing staff during the night shift (6:45 pm‑7:15 am) in the OLGMC 9C Med Tele unit. This role combines clinical responsibilities with leadership, ensuring high‑quality, safe care for patients.

Key responsibilities

• Administer medications, start IVs, and coordinate patient discharges with the healthcare team.
• Supervise, develop, and evaluate assigned nurses and patient‑care technicians.
• Promote evidence‑based nursing protocols and manage unit staffing, scheduling, and supplies.
• Resolve conflicts, collaborate with unit leadership, and support quality, safety, and patient‑experience initiatives.

Required profile

• Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least 1 year of RN experience (or 2 years as an LPN in acute care) and preferably 2 years of RN experience.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under stress, manage frequent interruptions, and maintain professionalism.

Required skills

• Medication administration and IV therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
