RN - Specialty Care Transplant Unit

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus and work on the G101 Transplant Specialty Care Nursing Unit, a 34‑bed unit dedicated to kidney, pancreas, liver, intestine and face transplant surgeries. As a Registered Nurse you will care for Med/Surg and solid organ transplant patients, handling complex medical histories, innovative procedures and comprehensive nutritional support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• One‑year of current acute care RN experience (military RN experience considered).
• Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) preferred.
