RN Infusion - Transition Associate (Travel)

About the role

Aoncology is hiring a Remote Travel Registered Nurse (RN Infusion - Transition Associate) who will travel around the US to its AON clinics. The position pays $31.93 - $48.44 and requires travel of more than 75% of the time. Standard core hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Document treatments accurately in OncoEMR and capture appropriate charges for medications.
• Safely administer chemotherapeutic agents per physician orders, using ONS standards, and dispose of biohazardous waste according to OSHA and HRS guidelines.
• Educate patients and families about medications, side effects and the treatment plan, and handle telephone triage calls from patients, hospitals, nursing facilities, pharmacies and physician offices.
• Dispense medications through a secured system, perform cycle counts, restock medications and enter patient charges.
• Analyze current processes, recommend training, prepare and deliver training materials in person and online, evaluate results and support ongoing success.
• Assist with inventory and re-stocking of medical supplies, attend safety and staff meetings, and lead onboarding training for new employees.
• Maintain patient and employee confidentiality and comply with federal and state laws on patient privacy, safety and employment.
• Support merger staff and clinics during and after the transition, and possibly travel to a company location to train new employees or cover a clinic.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a multistate license; other state licenses may be required.
• 3 years of experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital.
• Valid driver's license and compliance with the company driver safety and motor vehicle records check policy.
• Current CPR and BLS certification; OCN preferred.
• Ability to work remotely and in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) software.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Workday.
• Critical thinking, communication and customer service capabilities.
