RN House Supervisor

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring an RN House Supervisor for its night shift, working PRN (as needed). The role provides clinical and administrative supervision after regular business hours and manages hospital personnel and resources to meet standards, goals and department requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage hospital personnel and resources to meet standards, goals and department requirements.
• Reassign employees to different duties to optimize skills, abilities and workloads.
• Make regular rounds to identify problems and facilitate their efficient resolution.
• Review reports on hospital activities and initiate or respond with appropriate actions.
• Participate in nursing, hospital and medical staff committees as assigned, and attend regular management meetings to resolve problems, share information and plan.
• Facilitate and coordinate resources to address unanticipated situations, and review and interpret hospital policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with nursing leaders, provide temporary solutions to problems and report on and respond to emergency situations.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN).
• 1+ years of experience as a supervisor, charge nurse or comparable leadership role.
• 3+ years of nursing experience.
• Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, spoken and written; additional languages preferred.
• Knowledge of patient care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and age-appropriate needs.

Required skills

• Nursing computer applications.
• Office products such as Excel and Word.
• CPR certification (BLS) and ACLS certification.

Pay range: $42.82 - $79.64.
