Certified Surgical Tech - PRN Days

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a Certified Surgical Tech for PRN day shifts in its A Vista facility in Louisville, Colorado. The circulating surgical tech anticipates the surgeon's needs, prepares the operating room and supports the surgical team throughout procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Anticipate the surgeon's needs and keep the circulating nurse informed throughout a procedure
• Assemble supplies, equipment and medications before the procedure
• Maintain aseptic technique and report environmental concerns to management
• Follow CDC isolation guidelines, use PPE correctly and perform hand washing per policy
• Support safe, efficient operating room turnover and assist ancillary personnel
• Supervise team members, help orient and train new personnel, and respond to complaints promptly
• Participate in performance improvement activities and other duties as assigned

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent; associate degree or technical/vocational school preferred
• Currently enrolled in or has completed an accredited surgical technology program
• 2+ years of technical experience preferred; 1+ year of relevant experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required
• Flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to change

Required skills

• Aseptic/sterile technique and knowledge of surgical instrumentation
• English reading, writing and speaking
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office
• Manual keyboarding and visual computer skills

Pay range: $24.68 - $45.91. Additional licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the unit or state.
