RN HOPS – Endoscopy

About the role

The Endoscopy department at Cleveland Clinic’s Digestive Disease Institute seeks a Registered Nurse to provide high‑quality care for patients undergoing gastrointestinal procedures. You will work day shifts with occasional late‑night coverage and on‑call duties, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients receiving diagnostic or therapeutic endoscopy services.
• Perform patient assessments, document findings, and notify physicians of abnormal results.
• Administer medications, treatments, and specialized procedures as ordered.
• Coordinate discharge planning and educate patients and families about care.
• Participate in telephone triage, call rotations, and cover other nursing roles as needed.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program with current state RN licensure.
• Minimum one year recent RN experience (or LPN experience as specified) and two years preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within six months of hire.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift moderate loads, and work with communicable materials.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Medication administration and IV therapy.
• Nursing assessment and documentation.
• Telephone triage and call‑rotation procedures.
