RN Clinical Regulatory Specialist

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a Registered Nurse Clinical Regulatory Specialist for its Winter Garden campus in Orlando, Florida. The position is full-time, day-shift (Monday to Friday) but requires flexibility to cover night shifts. The role combines nursing practice with compliance auditing, data analysis and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Audit hospital operations to ensure compliance with governing agencies, reviewing patient charts for accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Collect and analyze data to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement, then synthesize data to design and implement effective processes.
• Lead and take part in planning and delivering process improvement plans, and evaluate them continuously.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to interdisciplinary teams and educate stakeholders on compliance requirements and improvement strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of audits, reviews and data collection, and take part in meetings and projects as directed by leadership.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• 2+ years of recent emergency department clinical nursing experience.
• Associate's degree in nursing (RN program); Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ year of recent leadership experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS and PALS.

Required skills

• Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Knowledge of evidence-based medicine, core measures, public reporting, process improvement and quality-of-care methods.
• Preferred: knowledge of Cerner and FirstNet systems.
