CT Technologist II (Night Shift)

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time CT Technologist II for its Orlando location (Millenia and Ocoee campuses). The position works three 12-hour night shifts per week, with weekend options available across Ocoee, Millenia and Winter Garden. The role performs high-quality CT examinations according to provider orders and departmental protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Review patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify contraindications
• Prepare and administer IV contrast safely, monitor patients for adverse reactions and position patients accurately and comfortably
• Maintain radiation safety and ALARA principles, and follow infection control standards with approved PPE and disinfectants
• Collaborate with radiologists and other providers, document in the EMR and PACS, educate patients and complete exams on time
• Operate scanners, injectors and monitors, and learn and use radiology software, scanners, workstations and EMR

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent; 1+ year of related work experience
• ARRT CT certification and BLS/CPR certification required; additional licensure may apply depending on unit or state
• Ability to read, write and speak conversational English
• Eligibility for sign-on bonus and relocation assistance: 1 year of applicable experience, internal candidates ineligible, and must live 50 miles outside the campus address

Required skills

• Knowledge of CT procedures, scanners, workstations and PACS
• IV assessment, placement and basic IV competency
• Ability to learn and complete reconstructions/post-processing and cardiac CT (preferred)
• Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
