RN Clinical Manager - Home Health

About the role

Amedisys, part of the Optum family of businesses, provides home health, hospice and community-based services. As RN Clinical Manager in Tulsa, Oklahoma, you will lead, supervise and coordinate therapy services so that patient care is high quality, compliant and cost effective, while keeping fiscal responsibility. You will also support patient care communication, referrals, scheduling, visits and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Recommend employment decisions for staff to the director of operations, including hiring, firing, advancement, promotion and status changes.
• Ensure the overall quality of patient care and the clinical performance of nurses and aides.
• Organize clinical operations for the care center.
• Review service requests and determine patient eligibility and suitability for home care, working with intake on referrals and admissions.
• Oversee scheduling and payor verification and precertification requirements.
• Review staff documentation and resolve missing, incomplete or untimely records.
• Help clinicians set patient goals, priorities and the Plan of Care, and regularly revise it with clinicians.
• Provide direct patient care occasionally in emergencies and take part in the on-call process.
• Train staff to ensure quality care, compliance and fiscal responsibility, and help investigate and resolve patient, family and physician concerns.

Required profile

• Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Current RN license for the state(s) of assignment.
• At least 1 year of clinical RN experience in home health or hospice.
• At least 1 year of RN management experience.
• Current CPR certification.

• Salary of $73,188 to $109,782 per year for full-time employment, depending on factors such as local market, education and experience.
