RN Ambulatory - OBGYN

About the role

Cleveland Clinic Health System is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) department at Beachwood Family Health and Surgery Center, in the Womens Health-Ambulatory Operations department. The role covers the 8:00am to 4:30pm shift, Monday through Friday, and floats between Beachwood FHSC and Hillcrest Hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments, and initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department and travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures as needed.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• One year of recent RN experience; LPN, medical assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical experience may substitute if the applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring to an RN role in the same setting, or in a clinical role in the same specialty transferring to ambulatory.

Required skills

• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• Full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination; corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
• Ability to follow Standard Precautions with personal protective equipment.
