RF Engineer / Analyst (NAVWAR)

About the role

CACI is hiring a full-time RF Engineer / Analyst (NAVWAR) to support the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. The JNWC is the Department of Defense's Center of Excellence for Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) and Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) capabilities. The analyst processes RF data from field events and military exercises, develops test plans for navigation hardware and helps shape PNT system strategy. The position requires a Secret clearance, is based in Albuquerque, involves up to 25% travel outside the continental US, and is contingent on funding.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and script data processing workflows to build and maintain dashboards and reports for DoD stakeholders.
• Process and interpret RF data from field events and military exercises using advanced analysis software.
• Work with engineering teams to gather analysis requirements and develop test plans to assess navigation hardware performance.
• Analyze requests to identify RF interference that could affect space launches.
• Provide real-time data quality guidance during field tests and exercises.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of PNT systems and keep up to date with data science, AI and machine learning.
• Travel to support military exercises and operational field assessments.

Required profile

• Active Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• 5 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, RF engineering or data science.
• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in an engineering field (electrical, mechanical, RF) or data science.
• Strong technical foundation and proven ability to solve complex engineering problems with data-driven insights.

Required skills

• Desired: data manipulation with Excel, SQL, Python or R.
• Desired: coding for data analytics and visualization with Python, R or JMP.
• Desired: proficiency in some or all of JUMP, GIANT, GIANT RPM, Builder, Systems Toolkit (STK) or other modeling and simulation tools.
