Retail Store Manager – Carlsbad Premium Outlets

About the role

Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking a Retail Store Manager for its Carlsbad Premium Outlets location. Reporting to the District Manager, you will lead the store team, drive sales performance, and uphold the brand’s heritage while shaping its future.

Key responsibilities

• Guide profitable sales and meet store financial plans through decisions and leading the team to achieve performance goals (conversion, units per transaction, sales per hour).
• Recruit, hire, pay, and terminate store personnel; manage employee relations and ensure compliance with LS&CO Operational Excellence policies.
• Train new hires on company culture, product knowledge, selling practices, and hold employees accountable to individual sales goals.
• Coach staff to increase knowledge, provide development opportunities, and create succession plans for promotion.
• Manage payroll by scheduling staff, monitoring labor costs, and aligning staffing with store traffic.
• Oversee inventory management, including accurate receiving, sending, price changes, ticketing, and loss‑prevention collaboration.
• Execute visual merchandising standards, adapt displays to store layout, and create compelling product storytelling.
• Maintain appropriate product levels and ensure store visual standards are met.

Required profile

• Proven retail leadership experience with a track record of meeting sales targets.
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, and managing store personnel.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control and loss‑prevention practices.
• Ability to coach, develop, and create succession plans for associates.
• Expertise in visual merchandising and product presentation.
