About the role
The Retail Store Cashier will support the store manager and leadership team in daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service and meeting store performance goals. This role involves handling transactions, maintaining store appearance, and contributing to a positive, inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide courteous service to donors and customers, handling cash register transactions and payments.
- Stock, display, and price merchandise within established price ranges.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organized store environment.
- Assist in developing additional donors and achieving production guidelines.
- Monitor loss prevention by observing customers and employees and reporting suspicious activity.
- Attend regular store meetings and act as a positive role model for staff and customers.
Required profile
- Reliability with regular attendance as per Goodwill’s attendance policy.
- Commitment to safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and Goodwill’s ACE culture.
- Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers, community service workers, and store staff.
