Retail Product & Pricing Specialist

About the role

Hy-Vee is hiring a Retail Product & Pricing Specialist in its Grocery department in Faribault. The role keeps department standards for customer service, cleanliness, sanitation and profitability, ensures products are available and keeps item parameters accurate in the product management software. It reports to the District Store Director, Store Manager and Assistant Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation and appearance.
• Use product management software to minimize out-of-stocks, keep item parameters and signage correct, and edit replenishment and ad orders.
• Pricing: price and sign advertised, EDLP and RDA items correctly, maintain special buys, and verify prices and inventory in line with policy.
• Work with store management on gross profit analysis, inventory accuracy, product placement for new items, and reducing obsolete, damaged and excess inventory.
• Check in and balance vendor invoices with DSD vendors.
• Complete price and product information changes promptly and assist department managers with product management questions.
• Follow company policies on hygiene, dress and punctuality, and report to work on schedule.

Required profile

• High school or equivalent education.
• Six months to one year of similar or related experience.
• Ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions and do arithmetic with fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and to climb, balance, kneel, stand and walk.

Starting hourly wage is $15.00 to $18.75 depending on experience. Employment is contingent on a pre-employment drug screen.
