Retail Design Innovation Manager

About the role

The Retail Design Innovation Manager leads the development and optimization of front-end store layouts and operational standards, using data, field insights and ROI analysis to improve customer experience, operational efficiency and long-term value. The role partners cross-functionally to set scalable solutions, maintain brand standards and shape future store design strategies. It sits in the Store Support Center and typically manages 2-5 Business Analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze the root causes of problems and communicate the right course of action to the team and the resolution to the field.
• Develop and implement changes that improve store operations and add value to the stores' bottom line.
• Manage core store operations projects and process improvements, including day-to-day processes, work plans and action steps.
• Proactively respond to unanticipated store needs and resolve issues and roadblocks.
• Build strong partnerships with the field and stores across The Home Depot.
• Prepare and deliver high-level insights and recommendations based on industry, business, competitive and consumer data.
• Provide guidance and training, assist in turning data findings into recommendations, and keep up to date on store operations processes.
• Select, terminate, appraise and develop the support team of Business Analysts.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job; no additional education required.
• 5 years of experience preferred; no leadership experience required.
• Strong business, functional and store knowledge, and strong operations, retail and/or field experience.
• Ability to partner and communicate well with the field and stores.
