About the role

Truth Be Told, a British‑inspired tavern located within The Study at the University of Chicago, is looking for an enthusiastic Restaurant Server to join its Food & Beverage team. You will help create a warm, memorable dining experience for guests across breakfast, lunch and dinner service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide attentive, efficient table service while welcoming guests and maintaining a friendly atmosphere.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, ingredients, daily specials, and beverage program.
• Take and enter food and beverage orders accurately, communicating details to the kitchen and bar teams.
• Address allergy and dietary concerns following established procedures.
• Deliver food and drinks promptly, adhering to presentation standards.
• Monitor the guest experience throughout the meal, anticipating needs without being intrusive.
• Respond professionally to guest requests or concerns and involve management when necessary.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for hospitality and creating connections with guests.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including British‑inspired dishes.
• Understanding of allergy and dietary protocols.
