Restaurant Kitchen Manager

About the role

Red Robin is hiring a Restaurant Kitchen Manager in Des Moines. The manager ensures smooth day-to-day kitchen operations and acts as a brand ambassador, upholding company standards while serving guests with scratch cooking, artisanal American food and gourmet burgers. The role covers inventory, ordering and key profit-and-loss lines, and is open to candidates available nights, weekends and holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily kitchen operations and maintain high standards of service and hospitality
• Handle inventory and ordering, and oversee key P&L lines
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and motivate a passionate team

Required profile

• At least 21 years of age and 2 years of management experience
• Open availability including nights, weekends and holidays
• Reliable transportation
• Strong communication, leadership and motivation skills
• Strong P&L knowledge and ability to obtain required certifications and permits
• Preferred: knowledge of local and state health codes, experience managing a team

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
• Preferred: Workday, Aloha, NBO and hot schedules

• Pay range of $55,000 to $70,500, plus an uncapped bonus program and referral bonuses
