Restaurant General Manager - Taco Bell, Houston, TX

About the role

This is a Restaurant General Manager position at a Taco Bell franchise in Houston, Texas. The franchisee is the employer, not Taco Bell Corp., and sets its own wage and benefit programs. The GM leads the team, sets the tone of the work environment and the level of customer hospitality, and is responsible for running the whole restaurant and building a team that gives customers great food and a friendly experience.

Key responsibilities

• Find, hire and develop employees, run new-hire orientation and build each new hire's training plan
• Schedule and deploy the team correctly
• Address performance issues and help resolve customer complaints
• Manage the restaurant budget and financial plans

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; college or university degree preferred
• 2-4 years of supervisory experience in food service or retail, including profit and loss responsibility
• At least 21 years old, able to pass background check criteria and drug test
• Reliable transportation
• Strong preference for internal promotion from Assistant General Manager

Required skills

• Basic personal computer literacy
• Business math and accounting skills, with strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Able to sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, lift and carry out trash, clean the parking lot and grounds, and stand, walk and lift up to 50 lbs for 80% of a shift
