Respiratory Care Clinical Coordinator/Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia seeks a Respiratory Care Clinical Coordinator/Instructor to join the Canton Campus of its Health Sciences programs. Reporting to the Dean and Associate Dean, you will deliver classroom instruction and oversee clinical education for students pursuing respiratory care and related health science degrees.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver curriculum for respiratory care courses.
• Establish, maintain, and evaluate clinical affiliation agreements with hospitals and healthcare facilities.
• Serve as primary liaison between the academic program and clinical partners.
• Coordinate student clinical assignments, supervise rotations, and monitor progress.
• Record and report clinical grades, ensure compliance with accreditation standards, and maintain documentation.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship throughout the clinical experience.

Required profile

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Respiratory Care or a related health science field.
• Experience in clinical education, externships, fieldwork, or internships coordination.
• Ability to manage multiple clinical sites and maintain accurate records.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with students, faculty, and clinical partners.

Required skills

• Knowledge of respiratory care clinical practices and standards.
• Familiarity with accreditation requirements for health science programs.
• Proficiency in record‑keeping and grade reporting systems.
