Residential Advisor – Part‑Time Youth Program

About the role

The State of Georgia seeks a Residential Advisor to support the Job Challenge Academy (JCA) at Ft. Stewart. This part‑time position (up to 29 hours per week) provides vocational and soft‑skill training to at‑risk youth, many of whom are court‑involved.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily activities of assigned students, maintaining activity logs of behavior and participation.
• Lead, demonstrate, and participate in physical training including calisthenics, running, hiking, and basic exercise equipment.
• Enforce program rules, policies, and procedures while providing guidance and instruction.
• Work rotating shifts that may include evenings, weekends, or additional hours as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of honorable active‑duty service with an E‑3 rank or higher, or one year experience as a correctional officer or similar POS‑certified role.
• Valid driver’s license (Georgia CDL preferred).
• Ability to lead military drill and ceremonies per Army Field Manual 22.5.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
• Basic knowledge of military drill and ceremonial procedures.
