Research Pharmacist – Per Diem at UHealth Campus

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Per Diem Research Pharmacist to support clinical trial research on the UHealth Campus. The pharmacist will oversee pharmacotherapy for research patients and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary research teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise the intravenous admixture program, focusing on chemotherapeutic and investigational IV therapies.
• Prepare and deliver injectable chemotherapy and other IV medications accurately, reviewing patient profiles and orders for interactions.
• Train and supervise technical staff, residents, and interns on hospital, clinic, and department policies.
• Manage preparation and review of investigational drug products.
• Conduct clinical drug protocol reviews, EMR treatment‑plan builds, and design oncologic regimens.
• Educate research and pharmacy staff on investigational agents, handling, and clinical monitoring.
• Provide medication counseling and assess adherence for patients receiving investigational drugs.
• Report unanticipated problems, adverse events, and protocol deviations.
• Assist in marketing research activities for new product development.
• Develop IDS pharmacy policies, maintain professional competency, and collect workload statistics.
