About the role
This 12‑week hybrid internship with the Center on the United States and Europe (CUSE) at Brookings offers undergraduate juniors or seniors and master’s students a hands‑on experience in public‑policy research and event coordination. Interns work alongside scholars and staff, contributing to research projects and supporting high‑profile events.
Key responsibilities
- Assist CUSE scholars with research on U.S.–European relations, EU politics, and security issues.
- Support planning, logistics, and execution of conferences, workshops, and public events.
- Prepare briefing materials, summaries, and background documents for meetings.
- Participate in internal briefings, professional‑development workshops, and networking events.
Required profile
- Undergraduate junior or senior, or graduate student pursuing a master’s degree.
- Strong interest in European affairs, transatlantic relations, and public policy.
- Eligibility to work in the United States for the internship duration.
- Availability for at least 32 hours per week during regular business hours.
