Research Engineer – Corporate Research Lab

About the role

Join 3M’s Corporate Research Process Laboratory as a Research Engineer, collaborating with innovative colleagues worldwide to support cutting‑edge R&D projects. You will work on hands‑on experimental work, data analysis, and documentation in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and conduct experiments, collect test data, and document results for R&D projects.
• Analyze data, summarize findings, and clearly communicate observations to support technical decisions.
• Maintain accurate records while adhering to safety and quality procedures.
• Execute assigned project tasks efficiently, track results, and help keep project timelines on schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline (completed prior to start).
• At least one year of experience in a research and development organization in the private, public, government, or military sector.
• Additional qualifications such as a Bachelor’s in Physics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, a Master’s degree, or three years of R&D experience are advantageous.
• Direct experience with laser‑based microscale fabrication is a plus.
