About the role

The University of Miami’s Bascom Palmer Eye Institute is seeking a full‑time Research Associate 1 to support laboratory‑based research within its Research Department. This entry‑level position offers the opportunity to develop practical research skills while contributing to cutting‑edge eye‑health studies.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and follow research protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Collect, prepare, dissect, and evaluate specimens or tissue cultures.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Perform routine assays, tests, and experimental studies.
• Analyze data, conduct statistical calculations, and assist in preparing results for publication.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with good research practice.

Required profile
