Research Assistant Intern – Petrucelli Lab

About the role

The University of Miami’s UHealth campus is seeking a full‑time Research Assistant Intern to support the Petrucelli Lab. The role involves assisting with data compilation, literature research, and laboratory experiments while contributing to the preparation of research papers and abstracts.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct literature research and prepare reviews on proposed topics.
• Compile, manipulate, and present reference and statistical data.
• Document experiment results, draw tentative conclusions, and maintain accurate research protocol records.
• Assist in the preparation of research papers, abstracts, and presentations.
• Coordinate database management and support special projects.
• Adhere to university policies and safeguard assets.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with office software and relevant computer applications.
