Research Analyst - Non-Investment Grade Credit

About the role

Neuberger Berman is looking for an experienced Research Analyst to join its Non-Investment Grade Credit platform in Chicago. The team works with a large group of Research Analysts, Traders and Portfolio Managers who manage high yield and leveraged loan assets. The role suits someone with experience in the leveraged credit market.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively identify and implement investment ideas across coverage sectors
• Evaluate and integrate industry trends into actionable investment recommendations
• Maintain a high-quality, consistent work product covering financial modeling, credit and industry trend analysis, written credit reports and credit review presentations to Portfolio Managers
• Build and maintain management and industry relationships within covered industries

Required profile

• At least 1-2 years of relevant research experience, sell-side and/or buy-side
• Good written and verbal communication skills, able to share ideas with Portfolio Managers and colleagues
• Hard-working and proactive, able to independently evaluate investment ideas and take ownership of investment performance
• Strong academic credentials and achievements
• Series 7 and Series 66 licenses obtained within six months of joining
• Right to work in the country where the role is located without current or future sponsorship

Required skills

• Strong accounting and financial modeling experience (required)
• Quantitative and qualitative skills to evaluate company-specific and industry-level data
• CFA or MBA preferred

What we offer

• Salary range of $95,000-$135,000, with eligibility for a discretionary bonus
