Loan Program Analyst (Executive II)

About the role

The Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity is hiring two Loan Program Analysts (Executive II) in Chicago. The role helps Illinois businesses access credit through the Department's credit programs, combining financial analysis, risk assessment, lender engagement and economic development to evaluate credit proposals, give technical assistance and support responsible lending decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate credit proposals end to end for businesses seeking access to the Department's credit programs.
• Provide lender-facing communication, technical assistance, program guidance and outreach and marketing support for the small business financial assistance programs.
• Prepare internal credit memoranda, presentations, reports and supporting documentation for management and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the State does not sponsor employment visas.
• Bilingual skills are welcome.

What we offer

• Anticipated starting salary of $6,820 per month, with a range of $6,820-$9,875 per month.
• Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, with a hybrid schedule of 1 to 5 days per week in the office.
• Union position covered by the collective bargaining agreement.
