Research Analyst 1 – Ophthalmology

About the role

The University of Miami, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute seeks a full‑time Research Analyst 1 to support a variety of ophthalmology research projects. The analyst will prepare data, conduct statistical analyses, and summarize findings for internal and external reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze data, interpret research findings, and verify accuracy of reports, including state and federal submissions.
• Prepare technical documentation, tabular and written reports, and deliver oral presentations.
• Manage grant and contract proposal activities from development through submission, ensuring compliance with sponsor guidelines and university policies.
• Assist research faculty with equipment purchases, inventory management, and coordination of laboratory supplies.
• Support administrative tasks for research scholars, trainees, and international participants, including visa and onboarding processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong learning agility, teamwork, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with office software and relevant computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
