Remote Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster (FL Jurisdiction)

About the role

Sedgwick is hiring a remote Claims Adjuster for workers' compensation claims in Florida, with Florida licensing required. The role analyzes claims on behalf of clients to determine benefits due, while keeping adjudication within service expectations, industry best practice and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and process claims through action plans, investigating and gathering information to determine the exposure on each claim.
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority.
• Communicate claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client.
• Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to requests for direction in a professional and timely manner.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred.
• Professional certification for the line of business preferred.
• 4 years of claims management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Florida licensing required; knowledge of Florida, Arizona and Tennessee/TNTAK.
• Ability to handle work-related stress, multiple priorities and deadlines, with clear thinking, judgment and discretion.
