Liability Claims Adjuster (Remote, Nationwide Jurisdiction)

About the role

Sedgwick is hiring a Liability Claims Adjuster to analyze General Liability, Property and Product Liability claims on behalf of its clients and determine benefits due. The role covers a nationwide jurisdiction and is advertised as remote, with a preference for candidates holding a New York or Hawaii license.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and process claims through well-developed action plans to an appropriate and timely resolution.
• Investigate and gather information to determine the exposure on each claim.
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority.
• Communicate claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client.
• Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to directions in a professional and timely manner.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 4 years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Nationwide jurisdiction knowledge; NY or HI license preferred.
• Professional certification applicable to the line of business preferred.
• Ability to handle work-related stress, multiple priorities and deadlines, with clear thinking, judgment and discretion.
