Remote Personal Injury Settlement Coordinator

About the role

A U.S. personal injury law firm based in Georgia, representing clients injured in car, motorcycle and truck accidents, is hiring a fully remote Settlement Coordinator. The role handles the final steps of each case: preparing settlement statements, resolving liens and paying out clients, with hours Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare settlement statements and calculate attorney fees, case costs and client net proceeds.
• Prepare disbursements to clients, lienholders and medical providers for attorney approval.
• Verify medical liens and negotiate reductions with providers, health insurers and lienholders.
• Coordinate the signing of releases and settlement documents.
• Keep every case accurately documented in Filevine.
• Work closely with case managers and the prelitigation attorney.

Required profile

• Experience in personal injury settlements, disbursements, lien resolution or law firm billing.
• Ideally experience as a Settlement Coordinator, Disbursement Specialist, Lien or Reduction Specialist, Settlement Paralegal or Prelitigation Case Manager.
• Backgrounds in medical billing, insurance claims or subrogation are also a good fit.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.

Required skills

• Knowledge of medical liens and Medicare or Medicaid claims is a plus.
• Filevine or similar case management software (CASEpeer, Litify, SmartAdvocate, Needles).

What we offer

• $1,800 to $2,200 USD per month, depending on experience.
