Remote Licensed Therapist

About the role

The Behavioral Health Therapist provides outpatient behavioral health services to individuals of all ages, helping them manage psychological difficulties and build meaningful community relationships. This remote position serves North Carolina residents.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct interviews with individuals and families to assess mental status, diagnose using DSM criteria, and develop intervention plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy using person‑centered approaches.
• Assess and intervene in psychiatric crises, collaborating closely with psychiatrists.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with state, federal, and agency regulations.
• Refer clients to external resources such as doctors, social services, and ministries while respecting confidentiality.
• Offer crisis stabilization, service coordination, and on‑call coverage as needed.
• Participate in quality‑improvement activities and provide clinical consultation to colleagues.
• Travel to community locations for outreach as assigned.

Required profile

• Licensed therapist (LCSW, LMFT, or LCMHC) with eligibility to practice in North Carolina.
• Experience delivering therapy to clients of all ages in an outpatient setting.
• Ability to assess and manage psychiatric crises and work collaboratively with psychiatrists.
• Commitment to maintaining licensure and ongoing professional development.
